KU Football Game

KU Football Game Mini-Vacation...
We drove up to Topeka the night before and stayed in the hotel we stayed at this summer that you guys love!  The huge water slide is always a big hit!  Cousin Jase was able to go along with us!  There was the "Hawk Zone" to play in before the game.  Game time was a blast!  Cousin Riley got to start and his picture was on the jumbo-tron!  The game was close and KU won in the last 2 seconds on a 52 yard field goal.  Waited to see Riley by the locker rooms after the game.  It was a beautiful day and the sun was shining!  We got sun-burned and Braden had his football eye stickers on..that made for an interesting face!  Tailgating before the game (with KU college girls?!) and sleepover in the hotel.  A fun weekend!

Blake's Soccer

Blake's first year of soccer!  You do such a great job and got to play goalie!  I love how you are aggressive and very athletic and will go get the ball!  I see scoring a goal in your future!

Kaleb

Kaleb, you look so grown up now with your glasses!  I'm glad you can finally see, you were blind! :)  Pictures of you and your buddies (and Brynn) at the Back to School Picnic.  Pictures on the right of you and Jase on your school bike tour!  I can't believe you will be in Middle School next year!

Kansas State Fair

Our annual trip to the Kansas State Fair.  A beautiful 80 degree day, you were all so good and completely satisfied with your GIANT corn dogs and a few little rides.  I won't be able to go watch you when you decide to do the bungee jumping!  You made me take a picture of the kangaroo with its little "joey" in its pouch at the petting zoo!  Braden rode up high in the bus, and Kaleb and Blake love the crazy houses!

Braden

Oh our little Braden, how we love thee! You are so smart and our little builder.  I swear you are going to be an architect or engineer someday!  You can build anything out of legos!  The lower left is a picture of your motorcycle. You told me the riders our you, Grandpa Bob, Kristin, and Chasers!  Guess we know who rates!  Your owl hat is adorable that you made at Heather's, you love to make things!  The upper left is your standard outfit: cowboy boots, jeans, leather jacket, cowboy hat, it was about 100 degrees that day!  I love how peaceful you look when you are sleeping!  You always want to fall asleep in our bed, watching another episode of "Pioneer Woman".  You love watching her make food for all the cowboys!  We tried to move you to your bed when you fell asleep and with your eyes still closed, and half asleep you told daddy that you "weren't sleeping, you were just blinking...for a really long time".  You are always full of rationale!  We love you!

Church/Villa Ice Cream Social

Annual Church Villa Ice Cream Social is a big part of our church service.  Kiddos learned how to make homemade ice cream (they did it in a can, fun!) Pictures showing the importance of delivering the ice cream to the residents.  I have done it as long as I can remember and now am passing on this gift of service to my boys.  The residents always love seeing the boys!
